We spent the morning utilizing light-tackle live bait presentations, which immediately triggered non-stop rod-bending action. The group did a phenomenal job managing the light setups, successfully landing a beautiful mixed bag of heavy slot Redfish, hard-charging Speckled Trout, and several aggressive saltwater targets that kept everyone on their toes. Out on the deeper structures, the reef bite remains equally productive. We are seeing highly consistent action with quality Gag Grouper and hard-pulling sharks, proving that the local Pensacola ecosystem is firing on all cylinders right now. I just would like to thank Joey and his family for going out fishing with me again this year and instead of an inshore fishing charter, the kids were insisting on taking an offshore trip this time. At the start of our day, the wind was a little rough to go out so we tinkled around inland and then soon as mother nature gave us the right window, We punched offshore and got on some really good bites!!

Well, I was informed yesterday that I’m no longer allowed to use the boat that I was running for my fishing business!! Clear skies held out for most of our trip, though we did see some rain rolling in during the late afternoon. By then, we'd already had a successful day on the water, so a little rain couldn't dampen our spirits. It was an early start, with the three of us meeting up at 8:00 am under clear skies, ready to take on the Pensacola waters. The weather was a bit tricky, with some light rain showers early on, but it cleared up beautifully throughout the day. We mixed in some chumming and sight-casting, and the group had a blast working the water and landing one quality fish after another, including some nice Red Snapper.
